common questions

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space to better understand your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships. Through counseling, you can identify patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, or feeling stuck in life.

A therapist helps you gain insight into the underlying causes of your struggles, process difficult experiences, and develop healthier ways of coping. Depending on your goals, therapy may focus on managing anxiety, improving relationships, healing from past experiences, increasing self-confidence, navigating life transitions, or creating lasting behavioral change.

As therapy progresses, many clients experience greater emotional resilience, improved self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of purpose and fulfillment. Rather than simply reducing symptoms, therapy can help you build the skills and confidence needed to create meaningful, long-term change.

If you’re ready to better understand yourself, overcome obstacles, and build a more balanced and fulfilling life, therapy can help.

Each session is 50-55 minutes long, depending on insurance coverage.

Yes. We are in-network with many major insurance providers, including Colorado Access Medicaid, CCHA (Colorado Community Health Alliance), and most commercial insurance plans. Our team is happy to help you understand your mental health insurance benefits before starting therapy.

If we are not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits to receive reimbursement for therapy sessions. We can help you determine your eligibility and provide the necessary documentation, including superbills and receipts, for submission to your insurance company.

For clients seeking a more affordable option, we also offer reduced self-pay rates through our counseling interns, making therapy accessible to individuals, couples, and families who may not have insurance coverage or prefer not to use their benefits.

We also offer private pay therapy for clients who choose not to use insurance. Some clients prefer private pay counseling for greater flexibility, increased privacy, or to avoid receiving a mental health diagnosis that may be required by certain insurance companies.

Understanding insurance coverage and therapy costs can feel overwhelming, but we’re here to help. Contact our office, and we’ll walk you through the process of verifying your insurance benefits, understanding your out-of-pocket costs, and finding the therapy option that best fits your needs and budget.

You have unique goals, and your therapist will tailor your treatment to your needs.

To address specific concerns, short-term therapy works very well. For more complex challenges or long-standing issues, a longer timeline might be needed.

The majority of our clients work with us for 4-12 months.

  • Actual or suspected child or elder abuse
  • Threats of serious harm to another person
  • An intention or plan to harm yourself
