I know that starting the process of attending therapy can be scary and overwhelming.  This is why I take a trauma-informed and client-centered approach to my work with clients.  In our time together, we will determine past and present barriers that are getting in the way of you finding success in work, relationships or overall daily functioning.

We will work at a pace that feels right to you, while continuing to push you outside of your comfort zone.

From a holistic approach, our mental health is equally as important as our physical health. Rather than waiting until things fall apart, I believe we should approach our mental health in a preventative way. Are you feeling trapped in a place of negative self-rumination based on limiting beliefs that are no longer serving you?

Do you have a feeling of impending doom fueled by anxiety and stories of worst-case scenarios that haven’t happened and maybe never will? This can cause us to feel disconnected within ourselves, which makes it difficult to create and sustain deep and meaningful connections with others. Often times these uncomfortable feelings and emotions that we want to “get rid of” or “fix” are trying to show us something.

I will hold space for you as you make these connections from your head to your heart and guide you back to that unencumbered place of being. It would be an honor to support you as you learn to live as your truest self by working through barriers to authentic healthy living.

Testimonials

“Working with Mandy has been wonderful. I’ve tried therapy a few times now, and this is the first time I’ve stuck with it for an extended period of time. I owe a lot of that to Mandy because it truly feels like she has my best interests in mind, remembers small details, and makes me feel comfortable enough to open up and discuss the harder things. Therapy has shifted in my mind from a chore and something that feels like a necessity, to something I genuinely look forward to. Not only am I experiencing the benefits, but my family is as well and that has been the greatest impact.”

“Mandy has been nothing but an asset to me. Life can be incredibly stressful for someone with anxiety & excessive worry such as myself. I have a wife, 2 young boys, & a 3rd on the way, that are all relying on me to be the best version of myself. Mandy’s relaxed & relatable approach has rebuilt confidence in myself to be able to cope with challenges of daily life. She has me looking at life through a different lens, making me a more enjoyable person to be around to family & friends.”

I am here to help you work towards the best version of yourself, whatever that may look like in your current stage of life. We are forever changing and evolving. It’s ok to give yourself love and compassion during these times–the same love and compassion you give to others. I have always felt emotions deeply and I realize now this is one of my strongest attributes professionally and personally. Feeling emotions deeply allows me to provide an empathetic and client-centered approach to each individual while using humor, challenging questions, and directness.

I have broad experience working with adults and adolescents. In my work with my clients, I utilize a holistic approach with several research-based interventions including CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and DBT.

I strongly believe self-awareness is the first step. As you look inward to identify your needs, we will then work alongside each other to develop a collaborative treatment plan to outline your goals and specific strategies to reach them. I believe therapy should include work being done both in and out of our sessions together. This is why I often provide tangible resources, such as: psychoeducation handouts, journaling prompts for self-reflection, book recommendations, and podcast recommendations.

In my work with clients, I aim to address the various systems impacting individuals’ lives (family dynamics, interpersonal relationships, career/work, education, physical and mental wellness, and hobbies/ interests) to assist them in achieving their goals. I work from a combination of theoretical modalities and evidence-based treatments including internal family systems therapy, narrative therapy, and Bowenian therapy. I also draw on cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. I create a collaborative environment where we can determine an individualized plan of care that plays to your strengths and empowers you as you work towards your goals.

My goal is to provide you with a safe and non-judgmental environment for you to process challenging emotions and life circumstances. My hope in working with you is to guide you to your true, authentic self. The more you are able to process, communicate, and accept challenging emotions, the more grounded and present you will feel in your daily life.
