I am here to help you work towards the best version of yourself, whatever that may look like in your current stage of life. We are forever changing and evolving. It’s ok to give yourself love and compassion during these times–the same love and compassion you give to others. I have always felt emotions deeply and I realize now this is one of my strongest attributes professionally and personally. Feeling emotions deeply allows me to provide an empathetic and client-centered approach to each individual while using humor, challenging questions, and directness.

I have broad experience working with adults and adolescents. In my work with my clients, I utilize a holistic approach with several research-based interventions including CBT, ACT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and DBT.

I strongly believe self-awareness is the first step. As you look inward to identify your needs, we will then work alongside each other to develop a collaborative treatment plan to outline your goals and specific strategies to reach them. I believe therapy should include work being done both in and out of our sessions together. This is why I often provide tangible resources, such as: psychoeducation handouts, journaling prompts for self-reflection, book recommendations, and podcast recommendations.

Shannon is currently accepting most major insurance, including: Medicaid, United, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, as well as self-pay.

Testimonials

“Shannon was very welcoming from day one and really made the effort to get to know me and my situation.  Her room is inviting and calming, which I found helpful since I was there for anxiety and depression.

She has also helped me navigate through my relationship with ways to make it more healthy.  Throughout our sessions she is engaging and pays attention to detail regarding certain situations or feelings that I have.

If you are having troubles with depression, anxiety, or relationship issues I would definitely recommend going to Shannon.  She is caring and genuine and makes you feel like your feeling are valid and most importantly that you are enough and deserve the best!”
